The algorithm isn’t showing you the best work.
We are.
Episode 1 dives into Substack’s underground, creative identity, existential dread, and the future of art.
Wow, you guys! Thanks so much for including me in your first podcast! It was so strange to hear other creators talking about me because I still don't know what the hell I'm doing on here 😂 But it definitely made things more real and brought a sense of belonging to the underground as its a place where the most cool people dwell, so I can't thank you enough for that xx
I think you both have something here. It's different to what anyone else is doing, and you really give the sense that you actually care about the creators who operate on the unbeaten path, so to speak. I feel warmth, and passion, and knowledge, and truly genuine vibes from you as a duo, so please keep at it!
What a strong start!! Raw and well done at the same time.
It felt like you’ve been podcasting for a long time. You both came across as real pros. I don’t know how long you’ve known each other, but you sound completely in sync.
The concept of social void works great. Let’s face it, it’s a vast void… Bringing in indie authors at an early stage, simply because their ideas stand out, feels rare and needed. Most of us are just out here in the void, hoping to be noticed.
You guys being the “Human Algorithm” or “Pal-gorithm” makes totally sense. In this sea of Substack writers, recommendations are how I discover most of what I read.
Your points on online identity and tribalism landed. Social interaction has changed fast, and evolution on our minds level has a lot of catching up to do. Publishing online isn’t an exact science. It’s easy to grow fast into identity that no longer fits.
@mr. A was a great pickour ffirst eopisode. I’m glad you highlighted his comics. There’s a thoughtful angle there on work and life. I subscribed to @Kelly Courtez right away, she’s a great writer with witty ideas. That’s exactly the kind of writing I’m looking for.
And thank you for bringing up http://HushHalo.com too. It means a lot when someone genuinely connects with what I’m trying to do. Dystopian sci-fi poetry still lives on the margins... Maybe that’s part of its power, who knows.
Good luck with your podcast! I cannot wait to hear next episodes. Do you already have themes in mind?
Great podcast. I am looking forward to hearing more. The very best of luck with your venture👍
Thanks
This is so inspiring guys! I'm so excited to be be part of the pod soon 😊

❤️🙏🏼
Thank you for including me. You both have good podcast voices too.
Yes! I noticed the same. Also the speaking rhythm was very easy to listen to. 🙌
It is easy to be good when you are passionate about the topic and surrounded by such amazing talent.

Wow! This detailed and glowing review touches on exactly what we want to do. Open up windows to the underground.
